September Favourites

Hello October,

Wow September has flown by; I'm currently sitting here in a big jumper with a hot chocolate but it seems like Yesterday that we were all wearing summer shorts! Today I am going to share some of my September favourites with you. I'm going to start with some makeup faves:

I've started using some more A/W nail polish shades this month the first being this purple from MUA in the shade Plum Noir. This is one of my old nail polishes (hence the old packaging) and again this month I've not been buying any new nail polishes as I have too many! MUA nail polishes are £1 and I think they are really good for their price. The second nail polish is from BarryM in Cappuccino, this actually belongs to my sister but she lets me borrow her nail polishes and I let her use mine. BarryM nail polishes are £3.99 (I think), however I would defiantly say that the darker shades are better as they don't need an excessive number of coats.

I have also been loving Revlon Lip Butters, mine is in Cotton Candy. First of all the packaging and names are so adorable, I love it. They are also really moisturizing, even more than many of my lip balms.  I will defiantly be buying more of these. I recently picked up the Real Techniques eye starter kit and I have used them so many times already. The brushes are so soft and such a good quality, there's nothing I don't like about them!

I have also loved my Lush face mask in Love Lettuce, Lush face masks are my favourite, although because you have to keep them in the fridge I often forget about them. I have been using the Soap and Glory Body Wash this month in the scent Sugar crush. Although this is more of a S/S scent I don't mind. I would recommend you buy one of these, all the scents smell amazing but Sugar Crush is something to keep in mind when Spring comes around again if you are not keen on a citrus scent in A/W.

I had to mention the Haribo Jelly Babies in my favourites as I have not stopped eating them all month; I'm not sure what it is but I can't stop buying them. One Direction also announced their new album FOUR that will be coming out in November; they also released a free, yes FREE, song from that album called Fireproof and I love it, thanks boys <3 Finally the last two things I couldn't photograph. The TV series In the Club finished at the start of September. It was something I really enjoyed and I hope they do a second series. I have also been loving the Our Zoo series. It is shown every Wednesday at  9.00pm on BBC 1 - it is also available on BBC iPlayer. It is about a family who set up a zoo.

So that's all for this month. I hope you had a brilliant September and lets hope October is even better. See you soon, Goodbyee.

Hello Autumn

Image found on Google Images - not my photo

Hello,

I thought I would share something a bit different with you today, I've never really written any blog posts like this before but I'm going to give it ago anyway. This year particularly I've been looking forward to Autumn. I've never been this excited for the end of Summer and in the UK, like many, I'm normally complaining about the bad weather but when we had the really warm weather at the start of September I was really annoyed and just wanted Autumn to begin. I love it when it begins to get colder in the evenings, perfect weather for snuggling up in a blanket with a hot chocolate. Yes I would be lying if I said I didn't have one hot chocolate in the Summer but I will have way more in these next two seasons, of course with marshmallows and cream (oppsies) - I actually had one today.

Autumn is also one of my favourite seasons for fashion - and the not so fashionable large hoodies and trackies, I love to wear these when I get home from school it may not look the best but they are so cosy (I am currently wearing these as I am writing this) - I love all of it! I love the knit jumpers, jeans and boots. I always get excited when shops start putting out their clothes for the next season - I went Autumn shopping today with my sister and picked up some things that I am looking forward to wearing this Autumn/Winter. I cannot forget to mention the colours of Autumn, my personal favourites being the blacks, whites, greys and just to add a bit of colour Burgundy. You also have the oranges and yellows - Autumn is a very beautiful month.

Sticking with the theme of colours, I also love it when the trees change colour, my bedroom overlooks our garden and I love it when some of the tree turn from green to orange. When I was walking home today some of the leaves had already started to fall from the trees. There is a few exciting things happening in Autumn for me, one of these being a school trip to Berlin that I am very excited for (I might write a blog post about that?!). Autumn also means that many festive events are coming soon including: Christmas and bonfire night - these all add to my Autumnal excitement.

This blog post doesn't really have a purpose but when searching for the Autumnal images and writing it has made me even more excited for when Autumn properly starts! I've probably rambled on for ages wasting your time but oh well. Let me know what you like most about Autumn and I hope you have enjoyed this style of blogpost.

I thought I would end this blog post with the image below, I think it sums up Autumn perfectly. Say tuned for some more Autumn themed blog posts, Goodbyee!

The Liebster Award #2

Not my photo
Hello,

I've been nominated again to do the Liebster Award by Kate (http://pinkandmintxo.blogspot.co.uk/). She writes a lovely blog. I've decided to upload this today as an extra post as the Liebster Award is a great way for you to get to know me a bit more and also discover new blogs.

1. Top 3 highstreet brands and why?
New Look is my favourite, it is so affordable, good quality and I always find something I love in there. I also like Primark and Topshop - although Topshop can be quite expensive.

2. Could you live without your phone or your bed?
This will probably come as a shock to some people but if I had to choose I would probably choose to live without my phone.

3. One thing you could not live without.
I couldn't live without my laptop. In the past I've had mini heart attacks if it doesn't start, I use it everyday. This is also the reason I would choose to live without my phone over my bed, I could use my laptop for a lot of the things I would normally use my phone for.

4. Favourite season?
This definitely changes every year for me but this year I have been very excited for Autumn. (Find out why on Sunday in my new blogpost!)

5. Where do you see yourself in 15 years?
I haven't really thought of this before but in 15 years I will be 30, so I guess with a job (hopefully something to do with Graphic design) and maybe a family?!?

6. Top 3 recommended makeup essentials.
I don't really wear foundation or concealer so unlike quite a lot of girls these wouldn't be in my essentials. For me it would have to be a mascara (recently I have been loving Maybelline The Colossal Volum' Express Mascara in 'Smokey Eye'), a Revlon Lip Butter (for me these don't only add colour to my lips but also moisturize my lips) and finally the MUA eye shadow in 'Matt' (this is a great base eye shadow).

7. Online shopping or in-store shopping?
I prefer in-store shopping, sometimes I find stuff online and it just doesn't look the same in person.

8. One word that describes you best.
This is a hard one, I don't really know??

9. Favourite Fashion Blogger?
It would probably be Sammi (http://www.beautycrush.co.uk/) She does a lot of fashion posts so I think that counts?!

10. Favourite Food and why?
Pizza. Pizza is amazing!

Thank you Kate for the nomination. I nominate Mary (http://omqxitsmary.simplesite.com/410350700) to answer my question below.

My Questions:

1. Favourite song at the moment?
2. What would your dream holiday be?
3. Drugstore or high-end makeup products?
4.  If you could be one character in a story or film who would you be and why?
5. what would be the first thing you would do if you won the lottery?
6. Favourite time of year?
7. Do you have any pets, if so what pet do you have?
8. If you would live anywhere in the world, were would you live?
9. Hobbies and interests?
10. If you could meet one celebrity who would it be and why?

Checked Leggings OOTD

Hello,

Summer has really been over for quite some time in the UK as the weather hasn't been great, it's been quite cold and to make things worse I'm now back at school. I think I wouldn't have minded if school started a few hours later. But before I went back to school  I wore this outfit to a birthday party and I think it fits well with the transition between Summer and Autumn. (The camera didn't seem to like the pattern on the leggings and in some photos the pattern looks a bit strange)

Top | Topshop £16

Leggings | New Look £12.99

Shoes | New Look

Nail Polish | BarryM £2.99

I am always wearing monochrome and as I showed you in my summer haul, I recently picked up these checked leggings. I normally wear patterned tops instead of patterned trousers, jeans etc. but I really like these. I paired the leggings with a black top from Topshop, I love the scallop edges this has. For my shoes I am wearing a pair of black ballet pumps, I've had these for a while so they are no longer available online. However, when I went to the party I actually wore a pair of black ankle boots instead. On my nails I wore a shade that I know is going to be my favourite throughout Autumn/Winter; it's a grey-purple shade from BarryM.

Thank you for reading. I have created some new pages on my blog, these tabs can be found under my blog title, please go and have a look :) Good luck to everyone in their new school year. Goodbyee.
