Check Shirt OOTD

Hello,

Half term has been really busy for me so I haven't been able to write a really long blog post for you today. I took these photos for this post a while ago but never got around to uploading it. Enjoy...

Shirt | New Look (£19.99)

Top | Forever 21 (£6.99)

Jeans | New Look (£15 -£20)

Shoes | New Look (£24.99)

Nail Polish | Makeup Revolution Are you still available?
with Essie Sparkle on top

I've come to the conclusion that I wear a lot of monochrome outfits, and make them a little more interesting I've started adding little bits of colour and pattern.  I got this navy and green flannel for Christmas and it's so comfy. For this outfit I paired it with a 'boxy' and slightly cropped white top from Forever 21 and a pair of black jeans. For nails I went with my current favourite combo (I did a blog post about these in January).

Thankyou for reading

Maybelline Lash Sensational - First Impressions

Hello,

Todays post is going to be my 'first impressions' on the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. I heard Gabby (Velvetgh0st on Youtube) talk about this in her January favourites and her lashes always look amazing so I had to try it out! I believe that this is priced at £7.99. I brought it last weekend in Superdrug and it's on sale in there at the moment for £5.98.

Lets start off with the packaging and brush... The packaging is shaped in the same way as most of the Maybelline mascaras are but it is in this gorgeous pinky- purple metallic colour. As for the brush, it says it's a 'Layer reveal brush with 6 lengths of bristles'. What I really like about it is that it has longer bristles (similar to my other Maybelline mascara - great for volume) but also some small one (similar to the Collection No Clumps - great for length); so this mascara is the best of both worlds!!

Maybelline claims that it the result is 'A layered, multiplied effect' and I agree! I found that it made my lashes really big as well has voluminous. I didn't curl my lashes the day that I first used it, but the mascara held my lashes in a curl all day, which really impressed me. To create a good look you don't need to worry about apply tones and tones of product, you can create a really great effect using minimal product and not combining with other mascaras. By using this mascara I got natural looking  and fuller lashes, making my eyes look a lot better - I really like this when a mascara does this.

The only criticism I had for this mascara was that it isn't the easiest mascara compared to the others I've tried; but overall I am really happy with this mascara and recommend it if you are looking for a new mascara. I think this is a fairly knew product and I haven't seen many reviews on it so hopefully this review helped you. See you next time, I'm going to leave you with a few photos of the product... P.S. I wanted to thank you for over 5,000 views on this blog, I'm so happy!

Hello,

So today I'm back with The Liebster Award. Thankyou Maria from In1997 for nominating me!

I don't wear blush that often but I love the Bourjois ones, and for some reason they smell amazing!?

2. Favourite Movie?
This is difficult, there are so many... I do love The Book Thief and Tangled at the moment. I do love the old Disney Channel movies as well, like Camp Rock etc. just because you don't really have to think about what is going on!

3. One thing you are really good at?
That's hard, I dont really know what to say..... I just asked my sister and she said art, so I'll go with that!

December - January Favourites

Hello,

Today I am back with my first favourites posts of 2015. This is a combination of things I have been loving throughout January, but I've also included my favourites from late December.

I'm going to start with the beauty favourites. There were 3 nail polishes that I loved during December and January: No.7 Black Patient (review here.); Makeup Revolution Are you still available? and Essie Sparkle on Top (Post here.). I loved them all so much that they have all featured in blog posts recently so I'm not going to talk about them too much here. The only other beauty item I am going to include is the Witch Concealer. I've only been using this for a short while but I think it has really helped improve my skin.

Towards the end of December and throughout January I really enjoyed watching films, therefore I have a lot of favourite films to share with you, I recommend you watch them if you haven't already On Boxing Day we watched 'The Last Song', I hadn't ever seen this film before and I really loved it. I also watched 'Tangled' for the first time recently; omg... it's so good I'd say it is even better than Frozen - although I love the songs in Frozen I prefer the Tangled storyline.  Onto films that I don't have the dvd for.. In December Sky showed 'The Book Theif' on one of their film channels. I absolutely love this film, it's one of my all time favourites, and I hadn't watched it since I saw it in the cinema and I fell in love with it again. And finally I also watched 'Endless Love' recently as that was also shown on Sky. If you have any film recommendations, please leave them below as recently my sister and I have been having a 'Friday film night'.

Music wise, I brought 5 Seconds of Summers LIVESOS album in January I it's so good, if you close your eyes you could imagine you were at a concert. My favourite song on the album has to be 'Out of my limit' - it's been stuck in my head all month. I have also been loving Ed Sheeran's 'Tenerife Sea', Ed's music is amazing!

And finally I created a twitter account at the beginning of January and it's definitely my favourite app at the moment (the link to my twitter account is on the right hand side of this blog (Self promo, sorry!!).

Thankyou for reading. Do let me know what you have been loving recently. I just like to add that it doesn't always let me reply to your comments but I do try to add a comment replying to you all, so do check the comments if you have commented (how many times can I say comment in a sentence?!). See you next time, goodbye.
