Spring on Pinterest

Hello,

I've never done anything like this but I saw a post on Monochrome Daisies and thought I would give it ago. I've never really used Pinterest before, only for school work, so I'm not going to lie I don't really understand it. However I have created a 'Spring' board full of inspiration for this season.

*disclaimer* I don't own any of these photos, credit to Pinterest.

Top -Left: I wear a lot of black, grey and blue clothes. I really liked this outfit, and it shows that you don't always need to wear more colours in the warmer months.

Top - Right: I think this layered necklace look is really nice; I will definitely start layering simple necklaces.

Bottom - Left: These nails are really nice, Spring is the time to bring out the lighter nail polish colours. (I did a daisy design tutorial a while ago...Here)

Bottom - Right: I have recently been loving white and navy striped tops, I own quite a few now. Again this is other causal outfit for Spring.

T - L: It's Easter soon and that means Cadburys Mini Egg, love them!!

T - R: I really like the idea of storing things in glass vases and mason jars.

B - L: You know that Spring has arrived when you see all the Spring flowers

B - R: as a lover of all things art and graphics, I really likes this font.

T - L: this is another causal Spring outfit.

T - R: I don't really think this has much to do with Spring but I really liked this!

B - L: this is for my fellow revisioners, soon we will have a whole summer off!!!

B - R: I think I am going to be wearing a lot more of these types of neutral/ grey toned shades on my nails. (Blog post coming soon!)

Thanks again to Monochrome Daisies for the inspiration for this post. As I said before I've not really used Pinterest for very long, but feel free to follow me here. Thanks for reading, byee

Sleek Oh So Special Review

Hello,

Today I am going to be doing a quick review on the Oh So Special palette by Sleek.

Starting with the packaging; I love the look of this palette and it has a large mirror which would be great for travelling. However, at first it's not the easiest palette to open... But that might just be me :'D

As for the product. This palette has an amazing range of colours and you can create pretty much every natural eye look  you want. The palette includes both matt and shimmer colours, I find this really allows you to create an eye look for any occasion. The pigmentation of these eye shadows is really good, giving you a great colour. I find that the eye shadows last all day as well.

My current favourite shades are organza, boxed and wrapped up (list of colour names below). But now Spring is getting closer I think I will start wearing more of the lighter shades.

I would recommend this palette, it's a great neutral coloured palette for a great price. Thankyou for reading. See you soon, goodbye

Step into Spring Lookbook

Hello,

Today I am going to be sharing three outfits that are perfect for the weather right now. I would say these are outfits for the transition from Winter to Spring. Enjoy. As you can see I don't wear many colours...

  Outfit 1:

Jumper | H&M £7.99

Leggings | New Look £12.99

Boots | New Look £27.99

I've mentioned this jumper in a haul before, I brought it in the size up and I really like the more baggy fit (it doesn't really look that oversized in the photo). At this time of year it's still okay to wear winter boots and I added a leather jacket for the days were it's still cold - I mean let's face it, we are in Britain!!! (I've included a photo to the jacket and price in outfit 2)

Outfit 2:

Jumper | New Look £17.99

Jeans | Next £24.99

Shoes | Converse £44.99

Necklace | Brandy Melville

Leather Jacket | New Look £39.99

Coat | New Look £49.99 (Sale £22)

I think this is my favourite outfit out of the three. The jumper is quite thin so it's more like a t shirt really; because of this I will be able to wear it in both the Spring and Summer months. The crochet detail at the bottom really adds something, and I think I will be buying more stripy tops this year!!

  Outfit 3:

  Top | New Look £9.99

Jeans | New Look £22.99

Boots | New Look £24.99

These jeans have such a lovely pattern and are a change for just wearing black jeans all the time. I recently wore these jeans with a black top from Top Shop, I really liked that outfit as well. Again I would wear my leather jacket with this outfit on the colder days.

Thankyou for reading. It wasn't on purpose that most of these clothes were from New Look, oops, New Look is the only clothes shop in walking distance from my house so I tend to buy a lot from there, I also really like the quality and fit of  New Looks items. For more quick outfit posts, don't forget to follow my twitter as I like to include lots of them on there.

Spring Nail Polish Combo

Hello,

Today I'm going to be talking about a nail polish combination that I think I will be wearing a lot. It's such a simple look but it looks really elegant, I love it. The colours would work well with any outfit and it's perfect for Spring.

I applied BarryM's Gelly Hi Shine in Almond and on my accent nail I added Miss Sporty's 4210 from the Funtasy Holographic effect range. BarryM Almond is a really light purple- grey shade. And the  Miss Sporty polish is a shimmery grey with holographic glitter. I don't really like the BarryM normal range, I find that they are really thin and need loads I coats (especially the lighter colours), however the Gelly Hi Shine range is different. The nail polishes are thicker and you only need one coat.

I didn't think that these two nail polishes would go together, in the bottle the Miss Sporty nail polish looks darker. But when you apply it over the top of the BarryM shade, you get some of the underneath colour come through, which gives a great effect.

Thankyou you for reading. I hope to do more posts like this (a 'what's on my nails' series) after my exams. I would have left school so I would be able to wear a lot more nail polish and experiment with lots of new designs. See you Sunday.

What I got for my 16th Birthday?

Hello,

I asked on Instagram if you wanted to see this post and I got a lot of replies saying yes, so today I'm going to be showing you what I got for my birthday. My birthday was at the end of February, so sorry this post didn't go up sooner. You've probably heard it all before but I'm not bragging at all and I'm really grateful for all the gifts I received and the birthday messages. I am so happy with everything I received, I really didn't expect half of this stuff.

I'm going to start with my main gift. My parents brought me this stunning Pandora bracelet, I you follow me on twitter and Instagram you will know that I love this sooo much, it's beautiful. From my parents I also received two Barry M nail polishes in some stunning colours, a full length mirror and a set of four home decor hanging hearts.

Onto my sister. Kerry got me a Ted Baker gift set. It includes a body butter, body lotion, hand cream and body spray. I love the scent (I'm not even going to try and describe it..) the products all came in this Ted Baker clear bag with a beautiful coloured material at the top and a rose gold zip. I think I will use the bag for my travel makeup bag when i go away in the summer.

My Nanny, Grandad and Uncle Neil brought me a Tangle teaser. I was in desparate need of a new one as the bristles on my old one were really damaged and old as I've had it for ages. I love tangle teasers, they are really easy to hold and work really well in my hair. From my Auntie, Uncle and cousins, Mary and Beth, I received this beautiful vintage draw set. They had also put a little gift inside each draw, I thought this was a really cute idea.

Onto friends. I'm just going to talk briefly about what I received as most of it has or will feature on my Instagram and twitter at some point. I received Tanya Burr's Love Tanya book - I'm looking forward to trying some of the recipes (I don't bake but I want to start doing that, the juice recipes look good aswell). I also received a selection of notebooks, some products from the Along Came Betty range, body spray, a bath bomb and some nail polishes. And finally I received a Cath Kidston mug and some lush products (I'm loving the face and body scrub at the moment).

As you can see I am extremely lucky and have the best family and friends. Thankyou to everyone, I am extremely grateful.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I do love reading these types of posts myself. I've also been posting a few outfit photos on twitter, so follow me on there if you enjoy my fashion posts. See you next time, byee

This or that Tag #2

Photo doesn't really link, but oh well...

Hello,

I was tagged by Maria from in1997 to do this tag, Thankyou! I've done a similar one before, but this has different questions so I thought I would give it ago.

High End or Drugstore?
I don't really own many high end products. I think that the drugstore has so many good dupes and a huge variety of products, that are a fraction of the price.

Straight or curl hair?
My hair is between the two. But I would love straight hair, I feel you could do so much more with it, half the time my hair is uncontrollable!!

Summer or Winter?
I love both, I would probably say summer though as you get a lot more time off school to relax.

Tea or Coffee?
I don't like either. I'm a hot chocolate kinda girl...!

Late Night or Early Morning?
Defiantly late night. I'm really not a morning person.

TV or YouTube?
I barely watch any TV. I much prefer YouTube, my current favourites are the Sacconejolys.

North or South?
Um... I don't know?!

Heels or Flats?
Flats. I recently brought my prom heels, not really worked out how I'm going to walk yet... :'D

Night in or Night out?
As much as I love going out and spending time with my friends and family; I do love just sitting at home, relaxing, watching YouTube and writing blogposts.

Save or Spend?
Spend, I'm always finding new things to buy, I try and save but I then end up buying loads of things at once!

Thankyou again Maria for the nomination. I am going to tag:

Thankyou for reading, see you again for a new post on Sunday!

My Top Beauty and Fashion Favourites

Hello,
Today's post is going to be a collab with the lovey Kate from http://pinkandmintxo.blogspot.co.uk/ she writes an amazing blog (I will link her post at the end). so lets get started...

Choosing these items/ product was quite difficult but I've tried to include a variety of beauty items and there are a few clothing items as well.

1. Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
This was an obvious choice! I've been loving this mascara ever since I brought it. The thing I find the most amazing is that it holds your lashes in a great curl ALL DAY without needed eyelash curlers; for a full review click here.

2. No. 7 Black Patient Nail Polish
I've been talking about the Makeup Revolutions Are You Still Available? nail polish a lot recently, so I've chosen another nail polish to include in this post. No. 7's Black Patient is the perfect basic black nail polish. It dries really fast and has a really glossy/shiny finish.

3. Witch Concealer
This concealer doesn't have the best coverage but it is designed to help heel any breakouts or blemishes - and it works.

4. Leather Jacket (New Look)
I wear this with most of my outfits. I love to layer clothes in the winter, instead of wearing a big coat, and this is perfect for that.

5. Nivea Lip Butter - vanilla
I've only just got this lip balm but it has really helped to improve my lips. It's really moisturising and I really love the sweet scent (there are other scents available if vanilla is not for you)

6. Sleek Oh So Special Palette
This is the perfect neutral toned palette and contains all the colours you will need.  The quality of the eye shadows is amazing. (I'm planning on reviewing it properly soon).

7. Black Jeans
I think these are a staple in everyone's wardrobe. I wear black jeans all the time, they just go well with every outfit. I buy mine from New Look as they fit me the best.

8. Maybelline Colour Tattoo - Cream Beige
I love all the neutral Maybelline colour tattoo's but my favourite at the moment is Cream Beige. It's great as a base or on it's own and it stays put all day.

9. Revlon Lip Butter - peach parfait
Similarly to the Nivea Lip Butters, the Revlon Lip Butters are super moisturising.
These are great as they act as lip balms but also tint your lips in quite a strong colour. My favourite is peach parfait, it's a natural pinky-red colour with gold glitter undertones.

10. L'Oreal Paris eye shadow palette
I've chosen this as I think I will be using this a lot when the Spring and Summer months arrive. It comes with 5 shimmery eye shadows in light natural colours; they work well on their own as well as combining several colours. They have large pigmentation and last a long time.

Kate has created a lookbook for this collab. Kate's post : http://pinkandmintxo.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/spring-lookbook.html

Thankyou for reading. Kate writes amazing posts so it's really worthwhile having a look. See you next time, byee
