Summer Favourites

Hello,

I have combined my July and August favourites to create the Summer favourites I am showing you today. These are mostly makeup as I feel that the summer is perfect for experimenting with new looks and products. I hope you enjoy.

Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner
I have been using this quite a lot over the summer. It makes winged and normal eyeliner a lot easier to do. It takes me less time to apply my eyeliner now, than when I was using my old liquid eyeliners. You can use this to create thin lines but also build it up to create a dramatic eye look. I brought this from Superdrug for £5.99, it's also available at Boots.

Bourjois Blush in 95 Rose
I've had this for a while so I'm not sure whether it is still available but recently I have been using this not as a blush but as an eye shadow. I don't normally wear any blush but after not using this for ages I decided that it would be a shame to waste it. I am in love with the colour and scent of this and have currently been using it on my eyelids. I am very much an eyes girl and love to experiment with different eye looks, so why not!! My summer eye look often uses pink shades and I think this makes a lovely eye shadow colour. In the past I've seen bronzers being used on the eyes so I don't see why it can't be done!

Rimmel Eye Shadow Quad in 003 Smokey Purple
Again I have had this for a while and over the summer I have begun to use it again. This quad allows you to create a few different looks and because of its size it is easy to travel around. It gives a suggested look but I have also been using some of the colours alone or in pairs to get a different look. These last all day and I believe they are priced at £6.99 or £7.99, I'm not sure.

BarryM Nail Polish in Duchess
My nail polish favourite over the summer is one from the BarryM Texture range. It looks to be made from pinky sliver nail polish with sliver glitters (Sorry bad description!). This nail polish won't be for everyone as it doesn't have the smooth feel a normal nail polish has, hence being in the texture range. Normally BarryM nail polishes don't impress me and I need over 3 coats to create a even colour. However I only need 2 coats maximum for this nail polish. You probably know by now that I do have quite an obsession with nail polishes but this summer I decided not to buy any and use up the ones I have. This was a great decision as I have rediscovered a lot of old favourites.

MUA Eye Shadow in Shade 16 Matt
This eye shadow has become quite useful this summer. I have used it under other eye shadows making blending my eye shadows a lot better. I have also used this alone when I didn't want to wear a lot of bold/colourful eye makeup. These are only a £1 so don't last an amazing amount of time but for that price it does work very well.

Impulse in Sweet Smile
On to my non makeup favourites... My summer scent has been the Impulse body spray in Sweet Smile. I am rubbish at describing smells but it does smell amazing (wow so helpful...) The scent is apparently Pear and Jasmine; to me it definably smells quite floral which is great for the summer. The scent lasts all day, which is amazing as I used to wear perfume as it lasted longer but this lasts the same amount of time!!!

 Silver and Sand Jewellery
When I was on holiday I spotted this jewellery stand on a market. It sold some beautiful sliver jewellery and it was hard to choose what not to buy! In the end I picked up two pairs of earrings, £10 each, the first is a pair of daisy flower studs and the second a pair of tree design earrings. When I got back I looked up the website so click here to check that out.

Thank you for reading. I hope you have enjoyed this blog post. Don't forget to follow my blog, Instagram and Google+ to be reminded whenever I post. You can now also follow my blog on Bloglovin. See you next time, byee.

Collective Summer Haul

Hello,

Recently I have been shopping a few times, one of these being to Oxford Street in London, where I have picked up quite a lot of the things I'm about to show you. Instead of writing separate posts I have decided to combine everything into this blog post. I would just like to add that I wouldn't normally spend this much when shopping but I had known about the shopping trip to London for quite a while so I had been saving. I am not bragging about anything I am about to share with you and believe me I won't be going shopping for a while now.

New Look
Forever 21

I am firstly going to show you my purchases from New Look. The New Look sale was good but as we visited it quite early in the day I wanted to save my money for the other shops. In the end I picked up this floral top for £8.00; I think at full price it was around £13 - £15. I also brought a pair of checked leggings, £12.99 (these weren't in the sale). I'm very much a jeans girl and they are a bit different to my normal style but these are so comfortable.

I purchased two things in Forever 21. To be honest Forever 21 didn't really impress me that much... I picked up this strappy top, I thought this would go nicely under the floral top I showed before as it's a bit see through. These were £2.00 and I kind of wish I had picked up a few more in different colours as they fit really nicely and feel really well made. I also picked up another quite basic staple item. This white t-shirt is slightly cropped and I think it will go really nicely with the leggings I brought from New Look, plus white generally goes well with anything. This was only £6.00.

Primark and Lush
Topshop

In Primark I picked up two pairs of their frilly socks, one in white and the other grey with a cream frill. These are only £1.50 and as most of my Topshop frilly socks have black frills I decided I needed some white ones to go with my grey converse. I also brought the Primark Eyelash curlers, I've never used eyelash curlers and as these were only a £1 I though I would try some out.

When I wasn't in London, I went into my local Lush store to buy a face mask; £6.25. I chose the 'Love Lettuce' one as it was suited to my skin type. It has a strong Lavender scent.

Back to London ... I only brought one item from Topshop. I had seen this top before and had even tried it on in white when I went shopping with my friends at the start of summer; I didn't buy it then as I thought I would wait until my London trip. As I have quite a lot of white tops I decided to buy it in black when we were in one of the Oxford Street Topshops. This was £16. I love the edges on the bottom and sleeves of this top. I was also going to get another top from there that I again had tried on when I when shopping with my friends, but I couldn't find it :(

Makeup Purchases

These are the makeup items I have picked up recently. In Superdrug I picked up another Maybelline Colour Tattoo, this time in Permanent Taupe, £4.99. The other two Maybelline Colour Tattoos I own are both shimmery, whereas this is a matt shade. I don't really know how to describe the colour of this but it is a natural shade. My current favourite look with this is using a small amount of this (it is very dark if you use too much) on my eyelid and crease, then taking another Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and on Bronze and putting that in the inner part of my eyelids. I also popped into my local Boots store and brought one of the Revlon Lip Butters. In Boots all Revlon lip products were 2 for £10, so me and my sister brought one each, essentially I only paid £5.00 (at full price these are £7.99). Mine is in the colour Cotton Candy; they all have such cute names! I have only used this a few times but I LOVE it.

My last purchase for this haul was the Real Techniques eye Starter kit. These retail at £20.99 but I ordered mine from amazon for only £13.50, which is amazing! (Link here.) Quite a lot of the Real Techniques brushes can be found on amazon for less so I would advise you have a look if you are thinking on buying any. In this set you get a base shadow brush, a deluxe crease brush, an accent, a pixel point eyeliner brush and a brow brush. I am so excited to start using these.

Thank you for reading this haul. Again like I said at the start I'm not bragging about anything I got; I personally love these types of blog posts (or YouTube Videos) I find them super helpful. Sorry if the photos aren't the best, I didn't really know how to photograph the clothes.

Hello,

Over the summer holidays I have created a playlist and have been listening to the songs on it constantly - I've even started singing some of the songs around the house (that's a sign that the are good, right?). Anyway the summer might nearly be over but we might as well enjoy what we have left. Today I am going to share with you a selection of the songs on my summer playlist. These are the songs that I have been loving, they might not be everyone's favourites as I know everyone has there own music taste; I just hope this might be enjoyable and useful for some of you... One more thing, the songs I have chosen are in no order and I have tried to link as many as I can find and the album I got them from (The songs from the 'Now that's what I call music' albums can probably be purchased on the artists albums but I don't own those albums). Holiday in Pictures

Hello,

You may know that I recently came back from my holiday to Croyde Bay, Devon - which in my opinion is so beautiful and my favourite place ever. I took loads of photos and I thought I would share a photo for each day of my holiday; this is something I've seen other bloggers do. This way the blog post won't be too long. Enjoy.

1. Travelling in the rain.

2. Best ice cream ever at 'Croyde's Ice Cream Parlour'.

3. Evening beach walk.

4. Scampi and Chips at 'The Thatch'.

5. Body Boarding; we did this everyday.

6. A day spent in the sea and on the beach.

7. Last day beach walk.

I had a lovely holiday, I can't wait until next year. I would recommend visiting Croyde Bay. See you next time; Byee.

Rimmel Nail Polish - Review

Hello,

Welcome back! I haven't been able to post for over a week, so I thought I would share this with you today before going back to my normal every Sunday schedule.

Today I am going to do a short review on the Rimmel London Nail Polishes. From Left -Right I have photographed 703 Pear Drop, 198 Azure, 060 Hot & Spicy and 840 Blue Eyed Girl. Pear Drop and Azure both have a shimmer to them, whereas Hot & Spicy and Blue Eyed Girl are flat/ solid colours.

The first 3 nail polishes I have photographed are from the I love Lasting Finish collection. They claim to have a 'hardwearing, chip resistant, long lasting nail colour for a great colour finish'. I agree with this as I have recently been wearing Pear Drop and it has lasted for nearly 7 days with minimal chips. However when applying the nail polish I generally go of two coats as with only one coat the colour seems to be a little streaky; so they don't have an amazing colour finish with one coat like they claim to have.

The blue nail polish 'Blue Eyed Girl' is from the 60 seconds collection, claiming to 'give fantastic colour and shine in 60 seconds with just 1 stroke, 1 coat and 1 minute drying time!'  I don't agree with all of this as it defiantly doesn't only need one stroke. This nail polish does dry very quickly and you could get away with one coat, though I tend to apply two.

My favourite Rimmel nail polish that I have tried has to be Pear Drop. In the photograph below I am wearing this nail polish with a glitter nail polish from Claire's, called Blue Glitter. I love pairing these as it reminds me of a Mermaid, I'm not really sure why. However I do also like to wear it on its own.

Although I don't own many of these nail polish, there is a huge range available with many different collections and colours. Most of the collections share the same shape bottle allowing you to see exactly the colour of the nail polish and all have names, which is something I love a nail product to have - I don't really know why! I would suggest you apply a base coat under a Rimmel Nail Polish as recently they have stained my nails without one.

I Love Lasting  Finish | £2.99

60 Seconds | £3.69

Overall, the Rimmel Nail Polishes are good nail polishes. However, they are not perfect and are not my favourite nail polishes. I have also written a blog post on the Maybelline Colour Show nail polishes, click here to read that if you haven't already. Thank you for reading. See you next time, goodbyee.
