Kiko Cream Crush // Review

Today I'm reviewing the Kiko Cream eye shadow in the shade 01 Cream Crush. This post has been scheduled as I am currently away, hopefully it works (well if your reading this I guess it has!) This is the first product I have tried from Kiko; I went into the store mainly because there was a huge sale but typical me, I picked up something that wasn't in the sale...

This shade is a Champagne colour - it looks stunning in the light. The packaging is very similar to the Mac paint pots, I guess this product is a dupe but I've never tried the Mac ones so I'm not completely sure. You get a lot of product with this and it is quite pigmented so you don't need to use a lot. The product has a really creamy consistency and blends really nicely. (If you have tried the Maybelline Colour Tattoos it is a lot creamer than them.) This product is priced at £6.90. I really like this product and I would love to try another product from Kiko.

Sorry this is a REALLY short review but  haven't had a lot of time to write. Thankyou for reading, goodbye.

Summer Scrapbook Project

The Summer holidays have started and this means there is a lot more free time. I have decided to create a scrapbook to display some of my favourite moments and memories. If your anything like me, most of your photos will just be stored on your phone and computer and you never really look back on them. By creating this scrapbook I hope that I will look at the photos I've taken a lot more. I hope this post might inspire you to do something like this in your spare time over the Summer. This is also a nice gift idea for friends or family!

I picked up a brown paper/card book with a black ribbon from Paperchase £8.50. Paperchase offer books in different sizes and designs so you can chose the one best for you. To get good quality photos I printed them off at Boots, I think places like Tesco also offer the same thing. Its a lot cheaper to do this than printing them off at home. There are also apps out there that you can print photos on - although I've never tried them. I have also used photo booth photos that I have.

To make the pages more interesting  you could use different papers, ribbon etc. places like hobby craft and paperchase have a lot of these types of things. I have also used a white gel pen to add doodles and dates to the pages - this works really well on brown or black paper. To secure images I've used both glue and photo corners.

I hope you liked this post, it is a bit different to the other things I do. Thankyou for reading, see you next time.

Travel Makeup

I'm going away soon so I thought I would share the makeup items I will be taking with me. I've tried not to bring too much of the same things, and everything is something that I really like and know works. There is no point bringing something that you haven't tried; just bring product that work well for you.

For base makeup I am bringing my two everyday concealers, Rimmel Wake me up and Witch concealer. I am also taking my Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream for if I feel I need a bit of extra coverage. I'm not a fan of wearing too much base makeup so this is perfect. For powder I am taking the Rimmel Clear Complexion. I'm not taking a bronzer but I am taking my favourite blush/ highlighter the Collection Gorgeous Glow Blush Block.

For eye shadow I wanted to take a small natural palette so I'm taking the Collection Eyes Uncovered Nude Palette. I'm taking my Primark eyelash curlers and the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, my favourite lash products. For eyebrows I'm taking the Maybelline Brow drama , for a natural eyebrow look.

Finally lip products... I'm taking two lip shades, the Revlon Lacquer Balm in Ingenue and the Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait - these are my two favourite lip products at the moment. And finally, I'm taking the Nivea Lip Butter.

Onto brushes, I am taking the Eco Tools Travel brushes Complexion blending brush and Buffing Concealer Brush for BB Cream and Concealer. The Revlon Powder Brush, obviously for powder, and the BarryM blush brush. For eye brushes I'm taking the Real Techniques Deluxe Crease brush and the Base Shadow brush.

I will be carrying my makeup in a Ted Baker clear bag with a coral fabric top - I got a gift set in this but it fits my makeup perfectly. It protect my brushes I am using the Real Techniques travel case, I got this with my eye brush set.

Thankyou for reading. I hope you have a lovely summer. My next couple of posts will be scheduled so keep checking for them, I'm not sure when I'm going to set them live for. Byee.

Ed at Wembley

Todays post is about the Ed Sheeran Concert I went to on the 12th July at Wembley Stadium. I was hoping to upload this sooner, but I stayed in London and went shopping and then we had no internet for a few days. I've seen Ed Sheeran once before in like 2012 at the Big Gig and I've been a fan of his music ever since. Ed Sheeran is defiantly one of those artists that are just as incredible live as on their album! I hope you enjoy this style of blog post.

For my outfit I wore the Ed Sheeran concert t-shirt (£20) and a pair of black high-waisted shorts from H&M (£12.99). I also wore my black and white vans.

For my makeup I used my normal base makeup and then did a champagne-pinky eye with a small wing eyeliner. (here's a weird close up eye photo.. haha)

Face
Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream
Witch Concealer
Rimmel Wake me up Concealer
Rimmel Clear Complexion Powder
Collection Gorgeous Glow Blush block

Eyes
Lid shade - Kiko Cream Crush Cream Eye shadow
Outer Lid - Collection Gorgeous Glow Blush Block (top 2 colours)
Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner
Primark Eyelash Curlers
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
Eye Brows - Maybelline Brow Drama

The Concert...

Ed had two support acts; Passenger and One Republic. Both acts were really great, I especially loved Passengers humour!

As for the main act.. I've said it before but Ed was amazing live, I was singing the whole way through. I was extremely happy that he performed Tenerife Sea - it's my favourite!! It's incredible what he can do just alone on stage and I also enjoyed the way he changed and mixed some of the songs so you got something that you wouldn't hear on the Albums. I'm going to leave you with a few of my favourite photos from Ed's performance... If you went to one of the shows do let me know what day and what you thought. Byee.

July Drugstore Beauty Haul

I have recently added to my makeup collection  and today I am going to show you what I have picked up. I have reviewed one of the products already, but I have recently uploaded a clothing haul and I didn't want to post two hauls closely together.

 I'm going to start with the base makeup; I picked this stuff up for prom. I wanted a light base as it is the Summer so I picked up the Maybelline Dream Pure BB cream (£6.99) This is designed for oily skin and has SPF so it is perfect for the Summer. It lasted the whole night but if you're looking for something with a high coverage this probably isn't for you. To go with this, I also picked up two concealers. Maybelline Fit Me (£5.99) and Rimmel Wake me up (£5.49). I chose the Rimmel one for brightening my under eyes, as it is more of a highlighting concealer, and the Maybelline concealer for blemishes. However it is a tiny bit to light for me when as I've started to get a tan but I just mix it with my Witch Concealer (The Witch concealer is medicated so helps reduce blemishes).

Maybelline had a 3 for 2 offer, so I also picked up the Master Sculpt bronzer and highlight (£6.99). This compact also comes with a mirror so it is great for travelling. This is available to 01 Light-Medium and 02 Medium-Dark. I got the 02 version as I do tend to tan a lot in the Summer. Continuing with the face products; I saw Becca Rose talking about the Collection  Gorgeous Glow in 1. Blush Block (£4.19) in one of her favourites videos and when I tried it in the shop, I had to pick it up. It gives a really pretty blush colour as well as highlighting your cheeks.

I have picked up two lip products this month. The first is the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in 10 Don't Pink of it! (£8.99) This has amazing lasting power. I also picked up one of the Revlon Lacquer Balms in 145 Ingénue (£7.99). This is a really pretty brown/nude shimmery colour, I wore this to my prom.

I had a look in the Kiko store as the had a sale and picked up one of their Lasting Colour Eye Shadows in 01 Cream Crush (£6.90) - typical me it wasn't in the sale haha! It is beautiful shimmery champagne cream eye shadow. I don't know whether Kiko counts as drugstore but it defiantly is drugstore prices. I also picked up two BarryM nail polishes as they were 2 for £6. I got the Gelly Hi-Shine Plumpy Top Coat, as I wanted a more gel like top coat, and a Speedy Quick Dry in Eat my dust - this is a stunning shade.

On to palettes that I have picked up recently. The first is the Collection Eyes Uncovered palette in Nude. (£3.99) I've seen so many people talking about this so I had to pick this up, it's a really good everyday palette. I also picked up the Sleek Eye and Cheek Palette in All Day Soiree (£9.99) after Fleur De Force mentioned it in one of her videos. This palette comes with 4 eye shadows and two blushes - although one is more of a highlighter and blush combined.

And finally a few things that aren't makeup. I picked up the Lets Spritz Body Mist (£8.00) from Zoella's new beauty range. It smells amazing! And last but not least, I picked up the Revlon Powder brush (£6.99) because the eco tools one I was using is quite a small brush and I felt that it was applying too much powder in one place.

Thank you for reading. Yes I have brought a lot recently (it was over 2 months) but I felt that I wanted to update my makeup collection and add a few bits that were missing. As a say in every haul post, I'm not bragging about the items I have picked up.  Do let me know which of these products you wish for me to review, if I haven't done so already. See you next time.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet 10 // Review

In Todays post I am going to be reviewing one of Bourjois' liquid lipsticks in '10 Don't Pink of it!'. I realised that I don't own many lip products and I wanted to get a few more. However, I still prefer a more natural lip shade. This range by Bourjois was at the top of my list of lip products to try. I had seen them mentioned online a lot and the formula of these products had always intrigued me.

Bourjois claims that the Rouge Edition Velvet lipstick range: gives your lips bold, matt and longlasting colour with 24hr hold. Its lightweight, velvety texture and non-drying formula gives extreme comfort that doesn't smudge!

It comes in really nice packaging, allowing you to see the product well. The only trouble I found with this is that the product appears a bit less bright in the packaging than it does on the lips, however it is still a really nice shade. I picked this colour as I've seen the quite a lot of  people talking about this particular colour and in my local Superdrug it looked like the most natural shade available (I think the website had a larger range than my local shop). It comes with a applicator similar to most lipglosses but as it is a matt product it does feel a bit odd when you first try the product, I was expecting it to be more like a lip gloss formula.

On the lips it does exactly what it claims. It dries matt but is not drying on your lips. After a while you don't even realise you are wearing it. I wouldn't say it lasts 24 hours but this product doesn't really move off your lips. I tried eating meals when wearing this and after the colour is still there and maintains an even colour. As the day goes on the colour does begin to fade (that's understandable) but it stays even. The lipstick is really pigmented and you can build up a strong colour really quickly.

I defiantly recommend this lip product - I only wish they did a slightly more subtle shade. (but that might have just been the colour range that my local Superdrug stocked) I think this product stands out from other lip products mainly because of the staying power. This is priced at £8.99 in Superdrug.

Thankyou for reading. I have quite a lot of products that I want to review soon and there will be a haul of a lot of the beauty products I have picked up, so look out for that. See you next time, byee.

July Q&A

Todays post is a Q&A. It's been a while since I've done a post like this and its a good way to get to know me a bit better; so I asked on Instagram for some questions to answer.

@xtracesofmythoughts asked two questions
If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would you choose?
I don't think I would choose to live abroad, so I'd stay in the UK. I like the idea of living by the sea - probably down in Devon as I go there a lot.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I've just finished Year 11, so in 5 years I think I will be at University or just finishing; at the moment I think I would take a Graphic Design course.

@theonlyone_17
What is your favourite song?
At the moment I like 'Fool's Gold' and 'No Control' by One Direction, 'Tenerife Sea' and 'Thinking Out Loud' by Ed Sheeran and 'Let it Go' by James Bay.

@heyitisjess
What's your dream job?
I really enjoy Art and Graphics and ideally would love to become a Graphic Designer and create/design advertising and logos etc. for businesses.

@kxyleighbear
If you could hypnotise one person in the whole world, who would it be and what would you have them do?
This is an interesting question, I would love to read your responses to this question (Comment them below!). This is a strange thing to think about, but if I had to choose it would be One Direction (they can count as one person right?!) if not, just Niall. I would hypnotise him to actually notice me and get me free tickets to all of their shows!!

@katee_taylor
What inspired you to create a blog?
I think that reading other blogs really made me want to write one myself. I also really liked the idea of designing it myself as like I've said before I love art and design. But the thing that really made me actually make it was some advise I was given at work experience, to experiment and explore more of what's online - blogging and designing blogs being one of them.

@life0ftabby
Who's your idol?
I don't really have a stand out famous idol (I know that idols don't have to be famous, but people do look up at famous people); I think it's is easier to have that sort of idol if you are inspiring to be eg. a singer or something in sport. However, I would say that my idol's are my parents, just based on how much effort they have put into things during there lives, they really do show me that hard work does really pay off.

@monochromedaisies asked two questions as well
What is your favourite drink to have?
I really like the new Costa 'Mint Choc Chip Cream Cooler' but I really like 'Fanta Orange' as a more of a refreshing summer drink

Long eyelashes or perfect contour?
I would say Long Eyelashes; I think I've said this before but my eyes look really small without wearing a lot of mascara to make my  eyelashes longer.

And the last question is from @thriftyvintagefashion
What was the first makeup item you ever brought?
I think I went and brought a mascara, a single eyeshadow and a duo eyeshadow from the Natural Collection in Boots. I don't actually still have these anymore.

Thankyou everyone that left a question. If you want to be involved in my next Q&A please feel free to follow my Instagram @megansw0rld (link on the right side of my blog) and my twitter (again linked on the right side) as I want to involve twitter in future Q&As. I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope your enjoying this warm summer weather in the UK. See you next time, byee.
